Where has ShelterBox helped?
After a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti, with help from our amazing supporters, ShelterBox provided shelter for 28,000 families – we launched our biggest response to date. With the help of Rotarians, ShelterBox affiliates were formed in Canada, Belgium and Luxembourg, the Philippines and South Africa.

How much does it cost to buy a ShelterBox?
The price of a complete Shelter Box is $1,000 (US). This includes the purchase of new Box items, assembly, warehousing and their subsequent delivery to the site location, (covering transportation, handling, insurance) and standard administrative costs. Smaller donations are also gratefully accepted.

What has ShelterBox done to help victims of disasters?
After the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan, ShelterBox provided assistance to about 1,600 families in the disaster region. In 2015 the charity responded in Nepal providing aid to families who lost their home, after a powerful earthquake left 9,000 dead and nearly 22,000 injured.
What is a ShelterBox Response Team?
Shelterbox’s Response Team (SRTs) consists of operations staff and volunteers based around the world. SRTs are highly trained emergency shelter specialists and where Shelterbox’s “Response Criteria” have been met, will deploy after disaster to assess, coordinate and distribute aid.
