What makes someone Undeployable?
Soldiers are considered non-deployable if they meet one of the following: Deployed. Soldiers that are currently mobilized according to Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS). Minimal Training Not Completed.
What makes you non-deployable?
Commanders do not have to wait 6 consecutive months, or 6 nonconsecutive months in a 12-month period, if there is a reasonable expectation that the underlying reason(s) causing them to be non-deployable for an administrative reason (not medical or legal) will not be resolved and the Soldier will not become deployable.
How does the Slrp work?
The SLRP may repay federal insured student loans up to a maximum of $10,000 per calendar year, with a potential $60,000 lifetime maximum, upon selection. More than one loan may be repaid as long as the combined repayments do not exceed the approved amount or up to $10,000.
What is a 09U MOS?
In the event a Soldier does not meet the qualifications for a shortage or balanced MOS, then that Soldier may be reclassified to Special Reporting Code “09U.” This identifies the Soldier as not being qualified in any Army MOS and will be separated from the Army in nine months.
What disqualifies you from deploying?
1. Psychotic and Bipolar Disorders are disqualifying for deployment. Individualized assessment required.
Can you say no to deployment?
Yes it is a choice. You do not get to choose where to deploy. Not usually. You may request a duty assignment that will actively place you in rotation for combat theater but it is not possible to join specifically for the purpose of deploying to war.
Do you have to pay back Slrp?
As a Soldier enrolled in SLRP you have many requirements. It is your responsibility to initiate the annual payment process. If you are not proactive you will complete your 6 year obligation without receiving a single payment. It is YOUR SLRP so take responsibility of it.
How do I access Slrp?
You must submit for SLRP each year of your service. Go online to access Army paperwork to apply for the funding. To begin, navigate to the Army Web-Enabled Education Benefit System (see Resources) and log in. Navigate to the “My student loan repayment” portion.
Do 68w need a security clearance?
No security clearance required. ASVAB score of 107 in General Technical and 101 in Skilled Technical. Moderately Heavy strength requirement.
What happens if you get deployed and don’t go?
The stiffest charge, missing movement, carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a dishonorable discharge.
What’s the longest deployment?
1 that commended Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division on completion of their record deployment to Iraq. The unit’s 22-month deployment is the longest continuous deployment of any military unit during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The 1/34th Brigade Combat Team received alert orders in July 2005.
