In August of 2013, rather than letting the legendary massager die out, Vibratex had partnered with Hitachi and both agreed to revamp the massager and remove the name “Hitachi” from its packaging and call it Magic Wand Original.
How can you tell a real Magic Wand from a fake?
The Magic Wand Original has a rectangular blue plate surrounding the on-off switch, whereas counterfeits typically have an oval-shaped plate. The blue plate of the real Magic Wand carries the words “Magic Wand Original”, and the two power settings on the switch are shown as “I” and “II”.
Who manufactures the Hitachi Magic Wand?
Over 30 years ago, the big Japanese manufacturing company, Hitachi, started making a muscle massager for general use. It was made to soothe away muscular aches and pains: on your calves, shoulders, back, neck, pretty much anywhere on your body that needed attention. They called it the Hitachi Magic Wand.
Is Hitachi magic real?
Use of the name Hitachi Genuine Magic Wands will not include the name Hitachi on either the product or the box. The real product names are Magic Wand Original and Magic Wand Rechargeable. If they are referred to in any other way, the products are counterfeit.
Can you wash a Magic Wand?
After years of using and selling the Hitachi Magic Wand, we found the most convenient, safest and quickest way to clean it is with a disposable moist cleaning cloth that contains a mild soap such as ‘Wet Ones’ or disposable moist baby wipes or similar.
