How does Hornby Uncoupler work?
Spring-loaded ramp clips into straight track at the position you choose, and automatically lifts couplings when a train is halted over the ramp. Set includes a marker post to help you align the coupling with the ramp underneath.
What track is compatible with Hornby?
Peco Setrack and Peco Streamline are compatible with Hornby track as they all share the same gauge width of 16.5mm. The main differences are in the sleeper spacing and the sleeper colour.
Is Hornby and Bachmann track compatible?
Yes, any OO scale loco, wagon or coach will work on any OO scale track, regardless of brand. Couplings are also compatible so they will connect together. You can have for instance a Hornby engine pulling a Bachmann coach.
Is Hornby compatible with Lima?
In my very years I have used Hornby and Lima track and they are pretty compatable together but I never use LifeLike (I haven’t really seen Life Like track so I can’t comment on that one). Nowadays I use Peco flex track, something to use if you have a more permanent setup.

What is the difference between HO and OO scale?
HO trains run on a 16.5mm gauge track. OO scale is generally only used for models of British prototype. It is 1:76th scale or 4mm to the foot. The trains still run on the same 16.5 mm gauge track as HO models.
Do old Hornby trains run on new track?
And thankfully, the majority of my OO gauge Triang stock works work fine on the latest Hornby or Peco track. The back to back spacing of the wheels as used on OO gauge Tri-ang and Tri-ang Hornby trains is just the same as modern OO gauge track so you won’t have a problem with the width.

Will Hornby uncouplers fit on setrack?

How does the uncoupler kit work?
The Uncoupler Kit is for uncoupling OO gauge model railway tension lock couplings for example the couplings used by Hornby, Bachmann and Dapol.
