Is Yale a ghetto?
Yale is located in a city, and there are always risks. Crime absolutely does happen in the areas around Yale but during my time there I never felt seriously unsafe. Many of the grad students live off campus in slightly rougher neighborhoods with a higher rate of crimes like muggings and burglaries.
Is UCLA or UCSD better?
While UCLA has the largest undergrad population, UCSD has the largest College of Engineering, a VERY GOOD Engineering (and programming) education can be had there, better than UCB in some areas, and the allowance of more time in the upper division sandbox. UCLA has a most excellent Chem Department.
Is UC San Diego socially dead?
Yes it is. For those people out there, UCSD is socially dead. If you want a social life, UCSD may not be the best for you. Some student out there are saying that UCSD is socially fun school because they don’t want there school look bad in front of others.
