How do you use Aquacel foam non-adhesive?
Additional tape, or other means of fixation, will be required to secure the AQUACEL® Foam non-adhesive dressing in place. Keep the center pad in contact with the wound and smooth the edges of the dressing into place. Fold the dressing over the bottom of the heel and smooth down to complete the application.
Can non-adhesive foam be cut to size?
ALLEVYN Non-Adhesive Foam Dressings feature an absorbent triple-layer construction for a wide range of wounds with moderate levels of fluid. Easy to apply and remove, they can be cut to size and conform to awkward parts of the body (such as knees or elbows) under compression or retention bandages.
How often should Aquacel foam be changed?
The dressing should be changed when clinically indicated (i.e., leakage, bleeding, increased pain, suspicion of infection). Maximum recommended wear time is seven days. The wound should be cleansed at appropriate intervals.

Do you wet Aquacel before applying?
Do not moisten prior to application, as this defeats its function as an absorbent dressing. Cautions. Do not use Aquacel on dry wounds.
Should Aquacel Ag be moistened?
If the wound bed is relatively dry, it is recommended that AQUACEL® Ag Dressing is placed in the wound and then moistened with sterile saline over the wound area only. The vertical absorption of the dressing will help to maintain the moist area over the wound only and reduce the risk of periwound maceration.
